Gabor Ulveczki
Gabor Ulveczki was born in Budapest, Hungary. His early work was influenced by the Bauhaus school. His painting evolved toward a monochromatic color story and, after moving to France in the early 1980s, he began to experiment with metallics in his work. In 1998 Gabor developed the technique of using metal leafing (brass, copper, gold, silver) and oxidation that he is known for today. His studio, Ulgad’or, is located outside of Paris. Here, Gabor and his staff create large-scale metallic wallpapers, textiles and art installations.
