Gholam Yunessi
Iranian born Gholam Yunessi brings a world of experience to his painting. His training began early at the hands of an uncle, the sculptor Esamaeel Yunessi. He continued his art education through high school and the Tehran College of Fine Art. Subsequent travels in Europe exposed Yunessi to European style and art. Eventually, Yunessi settled with his family in the United States.
Being both a landscape and a figurative artist Yunessi finds inspiration in nature and in the human experience. In his figurative work he strives to give substance to the intangible emotions and peculiarities that enrich our lives. Happiness, sadness, joy and sorrow are expressed through his impeccable sense of color.
Yunessi shares a large open studio with his wife, Fara Bell, in their California home. When not painting he enjoys soccer, volleyball and swimming. Perhaps unique among our artists, Yunessi is also a parachutist.
